Is it possible to create something out of nothing?
Can nothing give rise to something? Did it ever happened? Is it possible?
But what about our universe? A good question that deserves closer examination.
The most widely accepted theory about the origin of the universe is the BIG BANG theory.
According to this theory the universe started as the tiniest thing imaginable , a point with no
volume, but with infinite energy, known as a singularity. This singularity than suddenly exploded and started to expand.
This exploding singularity is known as the big bang, the origin of our universe.
The most basic definition of energy is : Energy is the ability to do work (Frederick J Bueche : Principles of Physics
(page 104) and
Kane & Sternhein : Physics (page 139). This is a very basic definition and more a property of energy than a definition.
There is much more to energy than just the ability to do work.
Where was this singularity situated? Was it situated in another space called hyperspace, a space unknown to us?
Is our universe expanding in to a nothing or is it expanding into this hyperspace? If your universe in expanding into
nothing is it not continuously creating something , namely more space?
Or
if hyperspace exists , is this hyperspace contained in an even bigger space ? A super hyperspace? How many of these
hyperspaces exists? Is there a final ultimate super hyperspace? If there is, did this mother of hyperspaces also
originated from a singularity?
Does the above arguments sound familiar? They are the same arguments used to disprove the existence of a
Supreme Creator. If there is a Creator( God) , who created this God, how many Gods are there etc.?
It does not matter if you belief or do not belief in a creator, you end up with the same arguments, when
you discuss a beginning.
SOMEWHERE SOMETHING CAME INTO EXCISTANCE OUT OF NOTHING!
This something had to have the ability to cause sustainable development or to form enough energy to
create the universe ( or possible universes) and to sustain it (them).
Without energy , no work can be done. Energy is indestructible. Work is done when energy is transformed from
type to another type. (all this is explained in detail in any College Physic's textbook).
The amount of energy released at the BIG BANG did an enormous amount of work and created our universe.
Everything that we observe with our senses is energy. Matter is a form of energy ( Einstein's famous equation
e = mc2 (c2 = speed of light to the power of 2 or the speed of light squared).
Is a singularity a nothing? Energy is not nothing, matter is a form of energy.
Did this singularity exist in in nothing or did it exist in a some extra space outside our universe?
Does it really matter? Is doesn't matter how you look at it, there had to be a type of creation somewhere along
the line!
